Notice for Defence Quota Counselling 2015

The counselling of the WBJEEM-2015 merit listed candidates for seats reserved under Defence Quota for admission to four year degree level Engineering Technology courses in Universities and Govt. Engineering Colleges of West Bengal (vide Information Brochure of WBJEEM-2015) for the academic session 2015-16 will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 12:30 P.M. in the Office of the Board at AQ-13/1, Salt Lake, Sector-V, Kolkata-700 091.

The list of candidates eligible for counselling for the seats reserved under Defence Quota, as prepared by the Rajya Sainik Board, Home Department, Govt. of West Bengal, is given below. Candidates are advised to carry the following documents with them on the day of counselling :

• WBJEEM-2015 Admit Card (Downloaded) and its photocopy
• WBJEEM-2015 Rank Card (Downloaded) and its photocopy
• Proof of Date of Birth and its photocopy
• Original Marksheet of 10+2 standard examination and its photocopy
• Domicile Certificate and its photocopy (for admission to Govt. Engg. Colleges)
• Rs. 500/- for counselling fees (not applicable for the candidates who already have taken part in e-counselling – 2015)

Altogether 9 (nine) seats are reserved for students under Defence Quota. Out of them 7 (seven) seats are reserved in different branches in Govt. Engineering & Technology Colleges of the State. 2 (two) seats are reserved in Jadavpur University. The branches of such seats in this University will be decided by the respective University Authority.

Candidates will be called for counselling in order to their Engineering General Merit Rank in WBJEEM-2015 and the counselling session will end after allocating candidates to the said nine seats and generating a waiting list from the remaining candidates who attend the counselling session.

Candidates must be physically present on the day of counselling with all requisite documents to get an allotment.
